The Sectoral Guide in SDG: Agri-food Sector examines the areas in which this industry has the greatest impact with the intention of identifying the possible challenges and business opportunities related to this issue.

This SDG sectorial guide is the result of the work carried out since May 2017 by the Spanish Network of the Global Compact, and the  main large companies, SMEs and associations: Agroamb Prodalt, Auchan Retail Spain, Calidad Pascual, COATO, DIA, Ebro Foods, ECODES, El Corte Inglés, la Asociación Empresarial de Marcas de Restauración  (The Business Association of Restaurant Brands) Eroski Group, Mahou San Miguel, Mercadona, Prosalus, Supracafe, the la Federación Española de Industrias de Alimentación y Bebidas (FIAB)  (Spanish Federation of Food and Beverage Industries) and AECOC. It is also supported by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Food and the Environment (MAPAMA) .
